So normal

It is irritating

 

Proprioception

The body’s way 

With time

 

Knowing extends

Beyond

The elbow touched

 

On the bus

The sadness you feel a smell

Reflexive to breathe it in 

 

Don’t tell

Language 

The words

 

It creates

Are not

The end of the subject

 

 

Patsy Creedy is a writer and native Californian, still managing to live in the bay. She trained as a nurse in women’s health, helping women give birth and other reproductive health care. After struggling with compassion fatigue, she went back to school and got an MFA and MA in creative writing. She has published poetry and creative nonfiction in several publications, and a memoir.

Anthony J. Powers is an artist from Detroit, Michigan. His work is focused on exploring the fuzzy world between our perception and the objective reality around us. Utilizing chaotic brush strokes, atmospheric effects, and distortions, he makes an attempt at portraying the fluidity of the human mind. He received his B.F.A. from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan. Some of his favorite hobbies include playing ice hockey, listening to science podcasts, and walking around at night!
