Illustrator
Rowan Bartolomei is a 23 year old gender non-conforming trans man who is currently pursuing an education entailing biology, ecology, speciation and genomics. He has created art since early childhood, which overtime has become heavily influenced by his relationship with his sexuality and gender. His art transfixes upon androgynous forms, a love for the human body, and for the beasts of the world. He finds inspiration in Dionysus, Minoan clothing and dress, and the lyssa virus that brings images of maddened and fleeting life. Currently, Rowan lives with his husband Lance, and their beloved siamese cat Lotus who often interrupts their long cooking sessions with her shrill little meows.

Moving Neighborhoods
"My wife is fearless and, even though her Hungarian isn’t perfect, she will talk with anyone. I think it was this willingness which won her over to our neighbor who had initially seemed standoffish and confused as to why this American couple and their cat were in Hungary."
