Anjali Venugopal is an Indian lawyer turned writer. She lives in Paris, France in the hazy dichotomy between immigrant and expat. She writes fiction to comprehend ordinary lives, to meditate on the intricacies of what makes us human. Her most recent work ‘Broken Glass’, a short story, was published in the Bangalore Review and ‘Maupassant, a Mirror and the Big Red Ball’, an essay dealing with the psychosocial bearings of colonial history on the contemporary Indian mind appears in From Arthur’s Seat. She is currently pursuing an MSc in Creative Writing at the University of Edinburgh.
