Web3 Publishing News #4: Sitka World & a Bunch of Other NiftyLit “Stuff” that Doesn’t Really Count as News
Before we start, one reminder (our “reminders” list is decreasing, which means we are checking things off the list!):
- Our website now has login functionality. Users can login (see top right corner) with a Google account and bookmark publications. We’re building out more functionality from there.
Check out Sitka World
Before we get into NiftyLit “stuff,” we want to highlight a great team of creators over at Sitka World. Sitka World brings the magic of storytelling to Web3. Beyond pioneering ways to bring their own unique fantasy IP to the blockchain, they are forming a collective of creative writers to serve the broader Web3 space with quality writing. Sitka World believes in the transformative power of stories, and wants to use their platform to help bring out the magic that is within every person.
Jo met with the Sitka World team a few weeks back, and guess what? They’re super kind and, like NiftyLit, have a desire to put artists and writers first. Check them out!
Our Bodies, Our Rights
With the release of the anthology, today wraps up Our Bodies. Our Rights. a special reproductive rights issue of NiftyLit. Remember: a significant portion of the proceeds from the sale of these NFTs will go to the Women’s Reproductive Rights Assistance Project (@WRRAP).
Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions about supporting this important cause. Buying NFTs is not easy, so if you want to know how, please reach out for a tutorial. Our entire team is willing to hop on a video call and walk you through the process!

Mark Your Calendars! We are Hosting A Reading!
On October 13, 2022, at 7:00pm PT we will be hosting a virtual reading (via Zoom) featuring six of our contributing authors reading from their published pieces. Email info@niftylit.io or Jo or Katie directly, and we will be sure to send you an invite. You can also find the Zoom link in under the “Events” section in our Discord. Hope to see you there!
Exciting News from NFT Seattle
Jo was selected to “pitch” NiftyLit at NFT Seattle’s pitch contest hosted by Founder’s Live. We won the contest (hooray!), but the best part was the amount of new friends and connections we made along the way. Founder’s Live wrote about it in a blog post here. Good times! The rest of the conference was also a blast, hearing from speakers like Tom Bilyeu, Kyle Tut from our amazing friends over at Pinata, and the emcee doc PEACE, among many other amazing people in the Web3 space. Jo now has a Pinnie sticker proudly adorning their laptop (Pinnie is Pinata’s mascot).
Note: as we ramp up the NiftyLit Newsletter, we may wind down this section of our website…tbd. In the meantime, enjoy and please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or comments.
